Housed in an award winning building on the Falmouth harbour-side, the National Maritime Museum Cornwall transports you into the world of small boats and Cornish maritime history. From its humble origins as a small pets corner in the early sixties, Newquay Zoo, opened in 1969, has become one of the country's top zoos, with ground breaking and innovative conservation programmes. Winning 11 major awards since 1996, as well as passing the South West Tourism Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance assessment, it has proved itself to be one of the best attractions in the South West.

The Flambards Experience, is a Cornish theme park, featuring a Victorian Village and the Britain in the Blitz war museum, Flambards is the premier family attraction in Cornwall. Flambards is certainly more than just a theme park as there is something to do for all the family no matter what the weather. In 1928 the meeting of Alfred Wallis, Ben Nicholson and Christopher Wood began the development of St Ives as an artists' colony. With the outbreak of war in 1939, Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth and Naum Gabo settled in St Ives, establishing in West Cornwall an outpost for the abstract avant-garde.The ceramic tradition which Bernard Leach established in St Ives with Shoji Hamada in 1920 adds a further dimension to the locality's artistic standing.

Situated on Towan Beach in the centre of Newquay, opposite the famous island, the Blue Reef Aquarium is a stunning visit. Be amazed by the local marine species from the Cornish coast to hundreds of tropical species in the gigantic ocean display complete with underwater tunnel. New in 2005 was our stunning Fresh Water Turtle displays, Turtle Creek. Here you can discover alligator snapping turtles, mud turtles, fly-river turtles and mata mata turtles.
